February
Why buy organic? It’s common sense: organic food is good for you, good for the environment, and good for the small-scale farmers and farm workers who produce it. Discover how supporting organic producers benefits both your health and the environment – as well as your palate!
Egg Hunt + Breakfast
March/April
It’s Spring and exciting new things are happening at the Farm! This event features a pancake breakfast with Ambler Farm maple syrup, games, crafts and, of course, the popular Egg Hunt.
Summer BBQ
June
Last year's event featured farm-to-table food
provided by Barcelona, a silent auction of farm,
garden, table and culinary items, and hayrides and
horseshoes. The trebuchet was also a big hit! More
information to come about our 2009 BBQ.
Summer Camp
June/July
This unique farm program will
provide an opportunity for students to experience
farm life as well as learn about ecology and the
environment. Students will learn about the plants
and animals on which farmers and communities
depend. Each week is sure to include hayrides,
planting, harvesting, hands-on projects, cooking,
animals to visit, fun and games, and more! Students
will be divided by grade levels for age-appropriate
activities. Sign up for more than one week as each
one will include different activities!
Ambler Farm Day
October
Apple Slingshot, Pie Sale, Farm Animals,
Make-Your-Own-Scarecrow, Hay Rides, Trebuchet,
Clothespin Dolls, Pumpkin Patch + more!
Art of the Wreath
December
Join other supporters of Ambler Farm for wine,
appetizers and home-made wreaths generously donated
by local artists and non-artists. Dozens of wreaths
of all types will be on display for sale in our
silent auction, with all the proceeds to benefit the
restoration, agricultural and education programs
offered at Ambler Farm throughout the year.
Greens Sale
December
The Ambler Farm Greens sale of
trees, wreaths and roping has become a Wilton
tradition. Families spend time at the farm enjoying
cocoa, cider and treats, visiting Santa, meeting
friends and leaving with freshly cut trees. This is
a great way to begin the holiday season.
