Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Join us to commemorate this day of service and give blood as we host the American Red Cross at Ambler Farm and give the gift of life.

Maple Sugaring Tap-a-Tree

Choose your tree and hang your bucket! Learn the science and history of maple sugaring by being a hands-on part of the process.

Middlebrook Maple Sugaring Program

Junior High students at Middlebrook meet after school to tap trees on school grounds and collect the sap. Participants receive a bottle of the syrup they help harvest.

Valentine’s Tea

Spend a cozy afternoon with your little Valentine at our annual Tea! Enjoy platters of delicious sandwiches and sweets galore, and have fun making a craft to take home.

Home Garden Workshop

Ambler Farm’s Director of Agriculture guides participants on crop selection, timing, plant spacing, soil nutrition, and general design for home gardeners.

April to May

Transplant Sale

Ambler Farm offers a variety of vegetables that we hope you will enjoy growing. After providing them a good start in our greenhouse, we let you do the rest. Cold-tolerant transplant sales begin in mid-April, and warm weather transplants in mid-May.

Sheep Shearing

Celebrate Spring at the Farm! Drop in to visit with our animals and enjoy a few wooly crafts while our resident sheep, Ben and Jerry, have their wool shorn.

Youth Apprentice Program

Taste on the Farm

Celebrate June on the Farm. Stroll the property (tastes and sips in hand), explore the gardens, say hello to our resident furry and feathered friends, and enjoy live music from one of our favorite local bands. The delicious and memorable evening comes complete with a sunset in the field in front of the iconic Red Barn!

Red Barn Live Music Series

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs as we relax with friends and neighbors on the field of the Red Barn. Each event will feature local music talent and food vendors. Enjoy sweet tunes and a gorgeous view on a beautiful summer night.

Families from Wilton and beyond descend upon Ambler Farm for our yearly fall festival. Enjoy the apple slingshot, hay maze, farm animals, make-your-own-scarecrow, hay rides, concession stand, trebuchet, children’s crafts, pumpkin patch, and more!

One-on-One Gardening with Farmer Jonathan

Farmer Jonathan offers one-on-one half-hour sessions at Ambler Farm to discuss your specific garden needs! Feel free to bring photos, layouts, crop wish lists or anything else that may be useful during your consultation.

Please contact Jonathan in advance to schedule a time for your consultation; best times are Mondays through Fridays from 9am-5pm. An alternate time may be arranged on a case-by-case basis. Contact Jonathan at jonathan@amblerfarm.org.
