Thursday, March 26, 2026
6:00 - 8:30pm · Carriage Barn · $40 per member | $45 per nonmember
Did you know that in Ukraine, egg decorating is an important art form that dates back centuries? Known as pysanky, these Ukrainian eggs are decorated using the wax-resist (batik) method. Covered in stunning motifs often taken from Slavic folk art, you'll also find these decorated eggs in many parts of eastern Europe.
Now is your chance to learn the ancient craft of Ukrainian egg decorating and enjoy a night out with the gals! Made using a wax batik method, Pysanky is a form of folk art that incorporates different symbols and shapes that are brightly and intricately colored. Decorate eggs in a traditional design or create your own while gabbing with your gal pals. We’ll provide cheese, crackers and accompaniments to nibble on and we invite you to bring along your drink of choice.
Registration opens on February 19 for members, and February 26 for nonmembers. Registration is limited - sign up today!
