Become a Counselor in Training (CIT)!

March 17, 2025

The CIT role is an opportunity for 14 and 15-year-olds to grow as part of our summer camp staff.

Our staff focuses on engaging campers, and CITs will learn to develop their skills of engagement as we meet each morning to strategize about campers and the day’s activities. CITs work closely with the counselors in their group and with over 30 staff members and counselors up to the age of 22 throughout the whole camp.

There are weekly activities designed to foster connection and fun among CITs and counselors.

Summer camp is an investment in the social and emotional well-being of a child, including CIT’s. These are formative years for 14 and 15- year-olds and we recognize that their experiences will have a lasting impression on their development. What we do at our camp, how we do it, the responsibility given to CITs, and the respect with which we work with each other will have an important impact on CITs and counselors. We say this because we have seen it throughout our programming history.

Please note: Our state certification requires CITs to be supervised and included in our ratios as campers.

Fee:  $150 per week

Our camp, Summer Adventures at the Farm, runs weekly starting June 16 through August 15.
