Volunteer Spotlight

Mark Keough

What do the Red Barn, the goats’ play structure, and the installation of the greenhouse have in common? Volunteer Mark Keough has played a key role in each! Mark’s tenure at Ambler Farm began more than 15 years ago, when he served as a board member. He also served as Buildings & Grounds lead, where he focused on the most logistical challenge inherent with our biggest day of the year, Ambler Farm Day: the parking! He also was a key part of the Greens Sale for several years.

When we asked Mark how his role at the farm is structured, he said, “It’s: ask Mark if something needs to be fixed or a problem resolved with any structures on the farm.”

As other volunteers have noted, Mark says, “The best time to be at the farm is just before sunset. Seeing the sun going down over the farm and the valley of trees can’t be beat. It brings a sense of peace and tranquility.”
