At the 2026 Annual Town Meeting, residents will have an opportunity to vote on a resolution that will allow the Town of Wilton to enter into a lease with Friends of Ambler Farm, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that runs the daily operations of Ambler Farm. The resolution question will be stated as such:
“Resolution for the Town to Enter into a New Written Lease with Friends of Ambler Farm, Inc. (FoAF) to Lease to FOAF the Property Known as Ambler Farm, Located at 257 Hurlbutt Street, for an Initial Term of Ten Years, with Options to Extend?”
The lease between the Town of Wilton and Friends of Ambler Farm will codify the long- standing informal agreement that has guided the Town’s and FOAF’s working relationship since FOAF’s inception in 2005. One difference however, is that FOAF will assume some of the expenses that the Town has paid for the past 20+ years.
This agreement will also open doors for future grant funding by confirming that FOAF and the Town have a long-term relationship.
Both events happen at the Clune Center at Wilton High School.
Attend the Annual Town Meeting and make a public comment in support of the lease.
Share this information with Wilton friends, family and neighbors and ask them to vote.

If you have any questions about the proposed lease or Ambler Farm, please contact Executive Director, Ashley Kineon at ashley@amblerfarm.org.
Friends of Ambler Farm, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed in 2005 to act on behalf of the Town to create and implement educational programs for the farm, and to run its day-to-day operations. Friends of Ambler Farm is a non-profit partner that provides direct value to Wilton residents through educational programs, historic preservation, and community events—services that the Town would otherwise need to provide and fund on its own. Any revenue from our programming supports the day-to-day operations of Ambler Farm, reinvesting directly back into the community.
