Community Support will Enable Ambler Farm to Complete Vision for Farmstead

May 12, 2026

On behalf of the Friends of Ambler Farm (FoAF), I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Wilton voters for supporting the two referendums in last week’s budget vote.

Voters’ support for the lease between the Town of Wilton and FoAF codifies a 20 year long agreement which has guided our working relationship, and will save taxpayers on certain costs while enabling the Farm to seek future grants beyond the Town. It is truly a win-win for all parties.

Approval of bonding for the Yellow House allows the Town to finally renovate and restore one of Wilton’s most beloved and visible historic assets. Over the past year, taxpayers have successfully secured funding for the last two major historic buildings on the property and approved a new lease. These three milestones are truly transformative for both our non-profit and the wider community.

We are profoundly grateful for this investment. Your ongoing support to complete the farmstead – in addition to last year’s support for finishing the Raymond-Ambler Farmhouse – has been critical to preserving this working farm’s buildings and will bring us into the future with a solid infrastructure to be enjoyed for years to come. We look forward to sharing progress as the project moves forward this year.
