2026 Raymond Ambler Award Recipients

May 14, 2026

Ambler Farm is pleased to announce Anna Reiter and Liam Boatwalla as this year’s recipients of the Raymond Ambler Award, recognizing outstanding dedication, leadership and service to Ambler Farm over many years. Both are Mentors in our Apprentice Program, and are project leaders in our Builders Program.

In addition to their commitment and contributions to the farm, Liam will always be known as our grill master for the Summer Program as well as the apprentice cookouts. Anna played a vital role through her expertise in handling our animals and mentoring others in their care.

Apprentices meet several times a week throughout the year and are actively involved in many farm-related tasks. They plant, maintain and harvest the farm’s educational gardens and work with Farmer Jonathan in the production gardens. They also care for our many animals and play an important role in major events like Ambler Farm Day. Kevin Meehan, Program Director, manages the program to ensure that apprentices work collaboratively to assist in all aspects of the farm, including teaching younger children about farm activities. Mentors take on a leadership role, emphasizing communication, instruction, and fostering a strong sense of community. While the work can be demanding, it is deeply fulfilling and offers valuable personal and practical growth.

Congratulations Anna and Liam! We thank you for your service and are so proud of you!
